Rhode Island Freight Finder Mapping Application

The RI Freight Finder is online freight map created by the Rhode Island Division of Statewide Planning (RIDSP) to share with the public, municipal, regional, state, and private sector partners freight transportation planning data that will help inform current and future planning efforts. This data and mapping platform should help users navigate freight information in Rhode Island and provides users with information about our freight highway corridors, railways, ports and harbors, airports, pipelines, and navigable waters

The mapping product includes freight corridors, railway corridors, ports and harbors, airports, truck parking, and energy and utility data.  Additionally, the Division of Statewide Planning has added a truck flows layer from our new truck model component to the state travel demand model, freight bottlenecks locations, top freight companies in RI, air cargo locations, and foreign trade zone locations. This information is available in the Freight Finder interactive mapping application for the benefit of residents, business owners, and private and public sector officials who want to know more about goods movement and our freight transportation network in Rhode Island.
